SANYO eneloop Rechargeable Battery

The SANYO eneloop rechargeable battery is among the most environmentally friendly and longest-lasting batteries available to consumers. This unique battery, developed by SANYO Energy Corporation, represents the next evolution in battery technology.
Sanyo’s eneloop Rechargeables are ready for use off-the-shelf, like an alkaline battery, but are 100% recyclable. They are long lasting and can be recharged up to 1000 times. The environmental impact of this is massive when you realize that one eneloop battery can replace 100 alkaline batteries.
Addtionally, the eneloop Power Pack includes spacers that will convert AA batteries into C and D sized batteries. This reduces waste by eliminating the need to purchase batteries in a number of different sizes. Even the packaging materials for eneloop are fully recyclable.
Sanyo Energy, the world’s largest manufacturer of rechargeable batteries, created the eco-friendly eneloop battery as part of its commitment to safeguard the environment by reducing waste while helping to conserve precious natural resources for future generations. I tried to find them at Batteries Plus, but was told to go to Costco. They have the power pack there and from what the salesperson told me, Costco is the only place you can get the power pack. Though I found out that Fry’s and Wal-mart have the 2 and 4 packs. That power pack is a cool variety pack of different sizes of batteries and it even has converters for c and d batteries and the charger is included. These batteries are really good quality, they work right out of the box. My son actually heard about them because he has a Wii game console and was tired of asking me to purchase more and more batteries. These seem to be very long lasting for the game. Works for me, less waste using those poisonous alkalines.
